Description
The Roger On is a state-of-the-art wireless microphone that incorporates MultiBeam 2.0 Technology to offer outstanding speech understanding in noise.
Roger On is a versatile microphone transmitter, ideal for situations where background noise is present. This can include restaurants, small group conversations, one-on-one conversations, during lectures or in class, outdoor and indoor activities (gym, guided tour), watching TV or Audio/ voice from the computer radio etc (using the docking station).
The Roger On picks-up the voice of a speaker and sends it wirelessly directly to your ears using Phonak’s exclusive Roger wireless technology.
The Roger On V2 directly replaced the original Roger On in June 2023. It has kept all the original features but now has the addition of a headset mode for calls using Microsoft Teams, Zoom & software-based telephone calls. This allows conversation to stream directly to your hearing aids, while your voice is sent back to the computer so the caller/meeting participant/s can hear the speaker clearly above any noise.
How does it work?
The Roger On microphone pen clearly picks-up the voice of a speaker and sends it via radio frequency to neckloop receivers worn by those who are hard of hearing. In turn, the neckloop links wirelessly to the hearing aid. Should you wish for the Roger On to transmit audio directly to your Phonak hearing aids, a licence to activate the inbuilt receiver is required. Please see the Roger On IN V2 for further information.
The microphone can be hung around the neck by a lanyard (presenter mode), placed on a surface (table mode), pointed at the person talking if discussions are taking place or can even connect to a TV or laptop by using the docking station and a regular phono lead. Most importantly, it will automatically switch modes depending on how it is being used.
The Roger On microphone recognises where the speech is coming from using its Multibeam 2.0 Technology. It automatically chooses the best signal-to-noise ratio and delivers that to your Phonak Hearing Aids or neckloop receiver. Thus giving outstanding speech quality in noisy situations.
Please see our range of Roger On Packs for a complete portable system including microphone and neckloops.
