Description

PRO45 Hanging Ambient Microphone for use with the PDA and Pro Range of single loop amplifiers or the APXM plate.

Supplied with a 7.6m Lead permanently attached to the microphone head, terminated with a 3-pin male XLR connector.  The PRO45 Hanging Ambient Microphone can connect directly to the PDA5, PDA7 or PDA11 Amplifier.  Alternatively can connect via an APXM plate and Belden audio cable.

A microphone is one of the most important links in an audio chain. It is the connection between the sound source and the sound system, so must interact efficiently with both. Choosing this link successfully requires knowledge of the sound source, the sound system (including the room acoustics), microphones and the actual application. A handheld microphone, such as the AMD Desktop Microphone, is one if the most common microphones used.

What is the pickup range of the Pro45 Microphone?

The Pro 45 mic has a pickup range of 12m in front, so is ideal to be mounted above a stage (stage facing to cut out audience noise) or at one end of a room where the main audio pick up is required.  Anyone located closer to the microphone will appear more loudly through the loop than those located a distance away.

If you are looking for even coverage throughout a room, you may wish to consider one or more APM omnidirectional ceiling mounted microphones.
