The AKT1 TV/Music Lounge Hearing Loop Kit is ideal for creating a high quality induction loop system for a TV or Music lounge up to 200m2 and includes everything you would need to install the system*.

*With the exception of loop cable selectable as a separate item.

The AKT1 TV/Music Lounge Hearing Loop Kit includes a PDA200E induction loop amplifier, AMP handheld microphone, APS SCART lead, APXM XLR mic. level connector plate, APL dual phono line level connector plate, AL5 lead and 2 x 6m Belden cable.  It also includes a “Loop Fitted” sticker so that anyone using the room is aware that they can connect to a hearing loop.

How does it work?

The loop cable connects to the amplifier and should be run around the perimeter of the room.  This is required at either at skirting level (or under carpet tiles) or ceiling (in or in floating ceiling), but normally within the range of 2-3 meters off ground, no higher.

The AMP handheld microphone supplied is connected to the amplifier via the APXM outreach plate and belden audio cable.  Subsequently, the TV is connected using the AL5 lead via the APL dual phono line level connector plate.

The loop amplifier transforms the audio signal into an electric current in a loop cable surrounding the listening area. Subsequently, the loop current sets up a magnetic field which fluctuates with the audio.  When the hearing aid is switched on to the T-setting, the T-coil will pick up the signal from the magnetic field and convert it back into audible sound. This means sound is clear and crisp and tailored for the individual’s hearing loss.

Anyone wearing a hearing aid with the T-coil setting could connect to the hearing loop.
