Description

The Roger X Receiver (02) is a miniature universal receiver designed to connect to any of the Roger Wireless Microphones to provide improved speech and sound to those who are hard of hearing.

How Does it work?

The Roger X Receiver connects to your hearing aid using the Direct Audio Input Socket (DAI).  It will automatically connect to the Roger Microphone when the microphone is switched on.  The Roger digital wireless technology transmits at the frequency of 2.4GHz, sending the sound from the microphone directly to your ears.  In ideal conditions,  the microphone will transmit from up to 20m away.

It is powered by the the hearing aid or implant processor battery and once connected to one for the Roger Wireless Microphones, does not lose its connection when there is no power.

Which Roger Microphones does this connect to?

Please note that Roger X receivers are not compatible with any generation of SmartLink, ZoomLink, EasyLink or non-premium inspiro transmitters.

Which Hearing Aids is this compatible with?

With a 3-pin Euro plug, it is compatible with virtually all BTE hearing aids, cochlear implant speech processors and streaming devices that are available.

The hearing aid and cochlear implant sound processor must be programmed for FM.  This can be carried out by your audiologist or Cochlear Implant Centre.

Why do I need it?

As the Roger X is a receiver that plugs directly into the hearing aid, it can be used instead of one of the neckloop receivers.  Ideal if a Roger Microphone is regularly used for a hearing loop such as in the workplace or at home.  Whether you require a neckloop  that requires the T-setting or a Roger X that is programmed for FM, will often depend on the make and model of your hearing aids.

FAQ

My Hearing Aid doesn’t have a Direct Audio Input Socket.  Can I still use the Roger X Receiver (02)?

Yes. If your hearing aid does not have a Direct Audio Input (DAI) socket you will require an Audio Shoe adaptor to connect the Roger X (02) to your hearing aid. The Audio Shoe required is dependent on the make and model of your hearing aid and you should seek advice from your Audiologist. The Streamer must have a Direct Audio input socket.

The audio shoe replaces the battery cover and allows for extra connections to the hearing aid, including the Roger X.  The audiologist would be able to fit the audio shoe and would also be required to fit the Roger X to the shoe as there is some element of programming required.
