The Sonumaxx NX PR Headset System is a portable hearing loop designed  to enable Tv listening at a more normal volume for those who don’t wear hearing aids or do not have the “T” loop setting.

With adjustable volume up to 122 dB, the Sonumaxx NX PR Headset System has exceptionally clear audio reproduction and high-quality sound. Reliable and free of background noise.

The listening volume on the Sonumaxx NX PR Headset System is independent of the TV volume.  Therefore, the sound plays directly through the loop to the hearing aid.  This means you can stay safe in the knowledge that you won’t be annoying your family or neighbours!

The system can switch from the reception of the TV sound to the built in microphone of the receiver so that you can listen to conversations too.  This feature allows you to interrupt the TV audio by pressing a button on the receiver, should someone speak to you while watching.  This new NX version’s internal microphone has had a performance increase although is not the primary function of this system.

With no permanent installation required, the transmitter serves as storage and docking station, at the same time recharging the receiver’s battery. A fully charged battery will last 6 to 8 hours, depending on the set volume. Two batteries are included, so these can be used and recharged alternately.

A button on the front of the transmitter allows you to select one of three sound profile presets.  The user can therefore choose which one suits him best.

The Headset System has digital (Optical/Toslink) connections, and also Analogue audio connection or you can use the supplied Microphone to pick up the sound.

How does it work?

The headset plugs into a pocket receiver. This connects wirelessly to a transmitter that sits next to the TV and connects directly into it.  The TV audio is then sent over to the receiver.

While it does have an inbuilt microphone, this is really just an add on feature to allow you to interrupt the TV audio by pressing a button on the receiver, should someone speak to you while watching.  It’s not designed to be used for general conversations in the home.
