Description

The Roger Multimedia Hub Portable Hearing Loop System is ideal for use in the domestic environment.   Providing a portable hearing loop solution for TV and other media listening.  The system  includes the Roger Multimedia hub, along with a neckloop receiver, making a complete and fully portable hearing loop system.  Designed for listening to the TV, music, gaming, audio books or computers.  Being light weight and portable, you can easily take this with you wherever you may need it.  Be it on holiday, staying with friends, or simply from one room to another within the home.

The Roger Multimedia Hub Portable Hearing Loop is for use by 1 person to listen to a number of different media types.  However, you may purchase additional neckloops and pair to the system if required.

The neckloop is discreet, lightweight, easy to use and is accessible to any hearing aid with a Tcoil.   You can even tuck under clothing if desired!  For those who are hard or hearing and don’t wear a hearing aid, the neckloop also offers headphone connection.

With this being a truly portable system, there are no costs or inconvenience associated with installation or maintenance and all devices come with a worry free 24 month warranty.

**Please note: The system comes with 2 x 3.5mm audio cables however if other connecting cables are required, such as AUX or TOS for the TV, these must be purchased separately**

If you’re looking for a portable system that includes conversation in addition to media listening, please see the Roger On – 1 Pack Portable Hearing Loop System.

How does it work?

The Roger Multimedia Hub takes a direct audio feed from the media device.  It sends this via radio frequency either directly to your Phonak Hearing Aids receiver,  or to neckloop receivers worn by those who are hard of hearing. The loop around the neck creates the hearing or “induction’ loop.  This loop creates an electromagnetic field that is picked up by the t-coil in the hearing aid.  The hearing aid then converts this back into speech sound for the user to hear.

The receiver has a simple on/off switch.   It is powered by a rechargeable battery with easy to check status displayed on the top edge, between the neckloop sockets.  The volume is easily controlled and is displayed on the front of the device along with pairing information.  An audible beep tells you that the microphone is not switched on or the receiver is not paired (connected) with the microphone.

The multimedia hub also has a simple on/off and mute button.  It can connect to a TV, laptop, tablet or other audio device via a 3.5mm jack input.   The system comes with 2 x 3.5mm audio cables however if other connecting cables are required, such as AUX or TOS for the TV, these must be purchased separately.

FAQ

Which Hearing Aids is the Roger neckloop compatible with?

The Roger Neckloop Universal Receiver is compatible with any hearing aid or cochlear implant with a Telecoil or ‘T’ Setting.

Who can use the Roger neckloop?

It is suitable to be worn by adults, students and children above 8 years old who are hard of hearing.

I don’t use hearing aids.  Can I still use a Roger neckloop and access the hearing loop?

Yes.  The neckloop offers a 3.5mm standard jack to connect headphones.  This can be done instead of connecting to a hearing aid.

I have a pacemaker. Can I still use the Roger neckloop?

It is advised that the neckloop receiver should be at least  6” away from any pace maker. It is just a guideline however and we would recommend that you seek approval from your  cardiologist before using, giving them all the information in the product data sheet found in the “Documentation” tab.

If, having sought advice, the neckloop can-not be worn, there is an option to use the Roger X  in place of the Roger Neckloop.  This is an ear level universal receiver that fits onto an audio shoe.
